Travis Kelce breaks Jerry Rice’s NFL playoff receptions record as Taylor Swift watches

Travis Kelce’s AFC Championship effort is off to a historic start.

The star Kansas City Chiefs tight end already has seven catches for 66 yards in the first half of the team’s AFC title game in Baltimore against the Ravens.

Kelce also scored the game’s first touchdown, which put the Chiefs up 7-0 in the first quarter and was celebrated by girlfriend Taylor Swift, who has been in attendance for all of Kansas City’s playoff games.

The grab got Kelce to 152 catches, breaking Jerry Rice’s NFL postseason record.

Rice had 151 catches in 29 playoff games from 1985-2004.

In this playoff run, Kelce is now up to 21 catches for 242 yards and three touchdowns.

In the game, the Ravens answered the Kelce TD late in the first quarter with a pass from likely regular season MVP Lamar Jackson to receiver Zay Flowers for Baltimore’s first points.

The Chiefs subsequently went ahead in the second quarter with a touchdown run from Isiah Pacheco, who himself is up to 14 carries for 41 rushing yards.

Quarterback Patrick Mahomes is having himself a nice first half, leading the Chiefs under center with 20 completed passes of 25 attempts, recording 161 yards through the air with the lone passing touchdown and no interceptions.
