Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift seem to be going strong, with the NFL star making the singer feel “safe and secure.”

The couple first made things public in September 2023, when Taylor attended Travis’ game. Following that first appearance, Taylor supported her new beau at many of his matches throughout the season.

Now, a source has detailed the dynamic in the couple’s “secure” relationship.

“He always makes her feel special and appreciated and plans romantic nights together,” a tipster told Life & Style. “The way Travis is open with his friends, family and fans about his relationship makes Taylor feel secure. She feels like she can be away from him and not worry about him doing anything sketchy behind her back. She trusts him; he makes her feel safe.”

The source also noted that with Travis, the Karma hitmaker feels more free to do PDA, as opposed to her previous relationship.

“When they go out with his friends in Kansas City, she feels like she can be a regular girlfriend. They can hang out and drink cocktails and kiss out in the open — all the things she’s always wanted to do,” the source explained.

They added: “Since both are at the top of their professions, they understand the dedication the other person has to their work. They don’t have to explain anything to each other because they just get it. They can give each other space without any jealousy or hard feelings.”

On Friday, February 2, Travis Kelce shared at a press conference how building memories with girlfriend Taylor Swift while playing this season pushed him to work harder for a chance at winning Super Bowl LVIII.

“It’s another memory in the journey that we get to cherish,” Kelce said of having his friends, family, and girlfriend run onto the field following the Kansas City Chiefs’ win at the AFC Championship. “I’m fortunate I got all the support I need off the field.”

He added that their support gives him “a reason to play that much harder” in the big game. In addition to receiving a warm kiss and hug from Swift, Kelce was joined by his parents Donna and Ed Kelce and brother Jason Kelce. Since late September, Swift has been attending many of the Chiefs’ games, 12 in all. The Super Bowl is scheduled for Sunday, February 11, in Las Vegas, and the Chiefs will face off against the San Francisco 49ers.

Swift will have a tight squeeze to be there in time, because she is resuming her Eras Tour in Japan at the Tokyo Dome on Wednesday, February 7. Her last show there is on Saturday, February 10.

It’s believed that she’ll still make the effort to be there, but Kelce is officially unable to attend the 2024 Grammys on February 4. Swift has been nominated for six awards this year, including Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Pop Solo Performance, Best Pop Duo/Group Performance, Album of the Year, and Best Pop Vocal Album.

During an appearance on The Pat McAfee Show at the end of January, Kelce said, “I wish I could go support Taylor at the Grammys and watch her win every single award that she’s nominated for. I know I got practice on Saturday but Sunday is a travel day. Unfortunately, I got to get ready for this big old Super Bowl.”
