Kamala Harris’s Failed Troll of Trump Falls Flat at Alabama-Georgia Game

Kamala Harris’s feeble attempt to troll Donald Trump at the recent Alabama-Georgia football game falls flat and exposes her desperation. In a move that seemed more suited for a politically charged college dorm room than a serious campaign strategy, Harris’s team planned to fly a small plane over Bryant-Denny Stadium with a banner proclaiming, “Trump’s Punting on 2nd Debate.” What should have been a witty jab at the former president instead turned into a spectacular failure.

The aircraft and its snarky message never even made it into the skies over Tuscaloosa, thanks to the weather—a convenient excuse that many might liken to the words from a certain struggling politician known for enjoying the limelight but often failing to deliver.

Vice President Kamala Harris at a campaign event in Madison, Wisconsin, on September 20, 2024.

Despite the campaign’s media play, the promise of trolling Trump through the skies was nothing more than hot air. When the weather canceled this particularly ridiculous publicity stunt, it only highlighted the fact that talk is cheap for Harris and her camp. Instead of showcasing a witty retort, they ended up demonstrating their lack of execution amid the frenzy of collegiate sports.

The absence of the banner in favor of Harris’s largely absent campaign strategy was a sight to behold; one more instance where the vice president’s grand plans amounted to little more than a puff of smoke, much like her rationale behind the banner’s message.

In a further attempt to salvage her image, Harris’s campaign pushed out an ad claiming that “winners never back down from a challenge.” Yet, irony reigns supreme as it becomes evident that, in reality, it’s her side that has avoided direct confrontations.

Trump has already prevailed in two debates, one of which was aired on CNN, where he showcased Biden’s obvious cognitive decline so glaringly that even his party had to wheel in Harris as a backup plan. The debate landscape is shifting, and instead of stepping up, it appears that Harris is the one doing the ducking, particularly when it came to Trump’s invitation for a debate on Fox News.

As if the world needed another reminder, Kamala Harris has proved she doesn’t fully grasp her intended audience. Her pretentious efforts to engage on the national stage come off as the kind of theater that lacks authenticity. While she flounders, thinking of clever ways to undermine the former president, the reality is that the crowd is far more interested in cheering him on.

At the game, the reception for Trump couldn’t have been more enthusiastic: cheers erupting for him amidst chants of “USA, USA!” showcased a stark contrast to Harris’s dismal campaign antics.

The entire spectacle proved that when engaging in the political arena, it’s not just about the message but the delivery—and right now, the delivery from Harris’s camp is more akin to a comedic skit than a serious political maneuver. If there’s a lesson here, it may be that a true front-runner doesn’t need to resort to gimmicks. Instead of learning from the evening in Alabama, it seems her campaign needs a serious overhaul.

The failed trolling attempt inadvertently turned the spotlight onto Harris’s shortcomings while further bolstering Trump’s popularity. Wouldn’t it be amusing if his team were to hire Harris’s people? It seems they inadvertently specialize in making him look good.
