JUST IN: Taylor Swift Endorsement HURTS Kamala, New Poll Finds
While Democrats have lauded pop superstar Taylor Swift’s endorsement of Kamala Harris as a major factor in the 2024 election, a new poll has found that this may not be the case.
A new poll from YouGov — a left-leaning polling outlet — found that just eight percent of voters said Swift’s endorsement is either “somewhat” or “much more likely” to convince them to vote for the Harris-Walz ticket. On the other hand, a whopping 20 percent of respondents said they are “somewhat” or “much less likely” to vote for former President Donald Trump’s rival now that Swift has spoken out.

A majority of respondents, 66 percent, indicated that Swift’s endorsement will have no impact on their 2024 election preferences.
Swift made her long-awaited endorsement of Vice President Harris in an Instagram post just after Tuesday’s presidential debate. The endorsement was not unexpected, as Swift backed the Biden-Harris ticket in 2020 and has in the past supported Democratic Party senate candidates.
“I’ve done my research, and I’ve made my choice,” the pop superstar told her 283 million Instagram followers.“Your research is all yours to do, and the choice is yours to make,” she added.
The recent YouGov poll found that 32 percent of respondents think that Swift’s endorsement will have a positive effect on Harris’ election prospects, while 27 percent do not believe it will affect the race in any significant way.
A larger percentage of respondents, 41 percent, said the “Shake It Off” singer should not comment on politics. An additional 38 percent indicated that Swift’s endorsements have a positive impact on society.
When asked whether they were fans of the singer, 66 percent of respondents said they were not, while 28 percent identified themselves as “Swifts.” An additional six percent said they were “big fans.”
