Emhоff thanked ρeоρle fоɾ theιɾ sυρρоɾt оf Haɾɾιs оʋeɾ the ρast fоυɾ yeaɾs, sayιng she was “sо gɾatefυl” desριte sayιng the ρɾeʋιоυs yeaɾs made heɾ exρeɾιence “sоme оf my hιghest hιghs and lоwest lоws.”

Meanwhile, the 25-year-old also criticized the people who “made it harder.” She said: “For those who made it harder, you suck.”

She concluded: “It’s been truly insane and a honor being the second daughter,’ Emhoff wrote, concluding the message. ‘Thank you for letting me do it in my own way.”

Ella is the daughter of the former Second Gentleman and his first wife, film producer Kerstin Emhoff. Kamala became their step mom in 2014 when she married Doug, and Ella and older brother Cole call her “Momala.”

Ella was a senior in high school when Kamala was sworn into the U.S. Senate. Now, she lives in Brooklyn, New York, where she’s made a career as a model.

She went viral after Biden’s inauguration in 2021 for wearing a Miu Miu coat covered in rhinestones. She was signed with modeling agency IMG Models Worldwide a week later.

The Second Daughter also received a diploma from the Parsons School of Design in 2021. She founded a knit wear brand Soft Hands, and hosts knitting classes in New York.

When claims about “childless cat ladies” from Ohio senator J.D. Vance resurfaced, Ella came to her stepmom’s defense. She wrote on Instagram: “How can you be ‘childless’ when you have cutie pie kids like Cole and I.”

Kerstin also chimed in, telling CNN: “These are baseless attacks. For over 10 years, since Cole and Ella were teenagers, Kamala has been a co-parent with Doug and I. She is loving, nurturing, fiercely protective, and always present. I love our blended family and am grateful to have her in it.”
