Taylor Swift absent for Travis Kelce’s Kansas City Chiefs game day after ‘contract split date’
Travis Kelce didn’t appear to have Taylor Swift supporting him for the second week in a row, raising concerns after it was speculated that their relationship would end Friday
Taylor Swift was nowhere to be seen at SoFi Stadium as Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs arrived to face the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday.
Swift also missed Kelce’s last NFL game against the Atlanta Falcons, and fans have been left concerned over their relationship after a fake ‘contract’ was leaked on social media. Although Kelce and Swift have officially been dating for over a year, a document emerged online stating that their entire romance was a publicity stunt.
The document appeared to have been created by Los Angeles-based firm Full Scope and revealed a strategy in which the couple would announce they had split on Sept. 28. No announcement was made. Still, the day after their speculated break-up would occur, Swift wasn’t in attendance to watch Kelce’s latest NFL game.
The alleged contract outlined a plan to release an official statement that would be “gracious, respectful and stress mutual respect” at the end of September. It also added there would be three days “post break up” to “allow the initial media frenzy to settle and ensure clarity”, but the document led to Kelce’s representatives being forced to deny the claims.
Not only did Kelce’s team deny the rumors, but the firm Full Scope has also sought legal action after saying the document with their branding was “entirely false and fabricated and were not created, issued or authorized by this agency.” Locating the culprit will be difficult, but the company is taking it very seriously.
“We have engaged our legal team to initiate proceedings against the individuals or entities responsible for the unlawful and injurious forgery of documents,” they said. While the contract was fabricated, one factor that cannot be ignored is Kelce’s slow start to the new season.
Through the first three weeks, Kelce has only managed 69 yards off eight receptions for no touchdowns, and the tight end is yet to rekindle his connection with quarterback Patrick Mahomes. It’s also been speculated that Swift has acted as a distraction, but Kelce doesn’t see things that way.

“I think this year’s stats may say something different, but at the same time you’ll see the same person inside this building, and that’s all I really care about,” he told reporters on Friday. “I’m my own worst critic. Everything outside of this building is just noise.
“I’m fortunate. I’ve had the success in the past and I realized that the ball can’t always go to one person. It can’t always get in my hands, but at the same time, I got all the trust in [Patrick Mahomes] to make the right decision, and he’s been making great decisions.
“We might not be putting up as [many] points as we want to, but at the same time we’re 3-0 and we’re doing something right.” The Chiefs are leading the AFC West, scoring 75 points and allowing 62 this season.
