After Oleksandr Usyk vacated his IBF Heavyweight title, Daniel Dubois, who had fought the Ukrainian boxer in August last year, was promoted to champion status.
And now Dubois will defend the IBF title against Anthony Joshua on September 21st at the Wembley Stadium.
However, ahead of this fight, Anthony Joshua abused former Super-Middleweight champion Carl Froch via WhatsApp leading the latter to blast ‘AJ’ in a rant on social media.
Before the loss against Andy Ruiz, on several occasions, then-unbeaten boxer Anthony Joshua emphasized the importance of humility in his career.
Considering Steve Jobs one of his role models, ‘AJ’ frequently uttered, “Stay hungry, stay humble.” However, after observing the latest behavior by ‘AJ,’ Carl Froch feels Joshua has badly contradicted himself.
Taking to social media, Froch aka ‘The Cobra’ disclosed his chat with Joshua and said, “So he’s called me a ‘pr***’ and I’ve gone back to him saying “who are you f***ing calling a pr***’?” “He’s come back and said ‘I don’t like you,’” Froch continued. Soon, he questioned Joshua for showing off the money he made from boxing.
‼️ Carl Froch revealing his WhatsApp argument with Anthony Joshua this week: “He was asked, ‘Carl Froch – one word answer.’ And what did he say? He called me a prick. So I went straight back at him.”

“Fair enough, you don’t like me, but all I’ve done is been honest and [I’ve] given constructive criticism on what you’ve done since losing to Ruiz and Usyk, and where you’re going now you’re fighting Dubois,” said Carl Froch.
Now, just to remind you, in an exclusive interview with Tom Hamilton from ESPN in 2016, Joshua claimed that he wanted to “stay low key” while handling his business.
So, even though Joshua had been earning from a young age, he took pride in the fact that he was not flamboyant and “rubbing it in people’s faces.”
However, since Joshua, surrendering to the ‘Money’ mentality, bragged about his wealth in a video, Froch questioned, “Where’s the humble guy gone?”
In this connection, Carl Froch also shamed Joshua for yielding to Andy Ruiz in their first fight.
Carl Froch brands Anthony Joshua’s defeat to Andy Ruiz as “embarrassing”
With the unified Heavyweight title on the line, in May 2019, Anthony Joshua faced Andy Ruiz. Besides landing more punches than Joshua, Ruiz completely shocked the boxing world as he knocked down Joshua twice in the third and seventh rounds.
In the fourth knockdown, Joshua’s mouthpiece had come out. Joshua had understood well he could no longer continue and looked at his corner for help. So, the official, upon studying Anthony’s facial expression called a stop to the contest.
On that note, Carl Froch said, “A little fat kid from Mexico made him quit for f***’s sake. He spat his gumshield out and was looking around, looking for the corner, looking for the people in the crowd to help him out.” “He quit on his feet. That is embarrassing – something ‘The Cobra’ would never, ever do. And he can take that to the bank!” Froch concluded brutally.
With that said, what do you think of Froch’s interaction with Anthony Joshua? Do you think Joshua is as humble as he claims himself to be? Let us know in the comments below.
